Last Minute Lovely Dress in Dots

It's true.  I was just minding my own business, scrolling through the ModCloth New Arrivals (as I do... a few times a week) when we locked eyes, like star-crossed lovers, and I was drawn to it.  It's stunning.  I adore a yellow dress, add the polka dots & the back detail, and we were clearly meant to be... that is, until it's evil price threw up a hugein my face.  Anything over $200 is mostly definitely out of my price range (heck, even $100 is a huge stretch on my budget).  So, alas, I will sadly pine away for this lovely...

I Have a Complaint: Vintage Clothing

Why is it that a large majority of vintage clothing I find on the interwebs come in XS or S?  Where are the larger sizes?  Mediums, hello??  Like this fabulous coat (found on Etsy from seller Lucky Vintage):

It's a XS/S.  This makes me quite sad because I love it.  :o(  haha

But seriously, were tiny people in the past just nicer to their clothing so that is all that lives on now?

What do you wear to work?

Before my current position in tech support, I was a coordinator at a fancy-shmancy salon & spa.  My wardrobe consisted of a LOT of black.  I wore heels a lot then.  Skirts, dresses, crazy tights in colors & patterns.  I wore lipstick to work.

I find that now that I work in a more relaxed atmosphere, the way I dress every day is waaaay more relaxed (see also: kind of lazy).  As I type this I am in the clothes I wore to work...jeggings, t-shirt & pullover hoodie with my work's logo on it.  I also wore some fake Ugg-like boots.  Not very glamorous...

I work with a bunch of guys that kind of live in jeans & t-shirts and, much to my boyfriend's dismay, it's rubbing off on me.  I guess this post is a letter to myself to try to kick it up a bit. I need to find that balance between being comfortable but still pretty (or sexy ;o) haha).

Moccasins

Within the past few months I have completely fallen in love with moccasins.  I love flats in general, but moccasins just seem so... comfy. These Darlingtonia moccasins Kevin gifted me for Christmas are like walking on little clouds.

You can't tell from this pic, but the colors are very rich.  And to top it all off, they're handmade!  She's quite a talented lady.  If it were within my budget, I'd have a closet full of them.  Until then here's some other moccasins I'm lusting over...
